A wonderful recipe. I topped each piece with a spoonful of sweet onion salsa. We had company staying at our house. After everyone went to bed I prepared this as written except I used canned real bacon bits and saved the time it took to cook the bacon. I put it in the oven and set my oven timer so it would be ready at breakfast time. I also set the timer on my coffee pot and set the table except for what I needed to take out of the refrigeator the next morning. We woke up to the wonderful aroma and breakfast was ready in no time. My guests were impressed and wanted the recipe. I will be fixing this for my company often.

Wow! Took this to a potluck over the week-end. I needed to double the recipe to fill up my trifle bowl and there was nothing left by the time I went through the line. I got rave reviews regarding the presentation and the taste. Instead of candy bars I used Heath Milk Chocolate Toffee Bits.I found them by the chocolate chips. I used canned whipped topping on the top but I must have put it on too early. I put it on and it looked beautiful. I put it in the refrigerator and when I took it out some of it had dissolved.I was glad I had some topping left. Squirted some more on and went to the party.

My daughter made this recipe for Thanksgiving and everyone raved about it. I have made it several times since and will make it tomorrow for Easter. We follow the directions but then keep it warm in the crockpot until serving time. .
