Thick Chocolate Pudding

I followed the advice of some people and increased the sugar to 1/2 cup. It was too sweet.

Bev's Chocolate Pie

REALLY the best. Looked perfect! However, the meringue was weepy. Next time will use another meringue recipe for this pie. Otherwise, excellent. Not very sweet but very decadent.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

too salty, too dense. I think that with less salt and more sugar, it would taste a lot better.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
added 1 an extra Tbsp of sugar, added 1/2 tsp vanilla, and decreased the salt to only 1/4 tsp. Tasted a lot better! These puffed up nice, but I had trouble with the melted shortening clumping up when the cooler ingredients were mixed together (they weren't even that cool). Otherwise, these turned out nice.

Mayonnaise Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2007
Easy to make, didn't need any eggs or butter/shortening. Added about 1/4 c more mayo, then divided the batch in half and added 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa to one batch. Tasted great and VERY quick and easy.

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
Very sweet. I followed one reviewer's suggestion of using 1/3 c brown sugar with 1/3 c white sugar for Fuji apples. I found that the top isn't all that crisp, a little on the doughy side. But when it cools and after you stick it in the ref for a few hours, it does get more crisp. Also, you don't need all that much water. i took it out of the oven when the apples started bubbling because the other apple crisp I did turned a bit mushy--I'd waited for the top to turn brown/solid-looking instead of soft before removing from the oven. I also sprinkled the top with some granulated sugar and it looked nice.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
Tasted good, but I had the same problem as some of the other reviewers--the outside of the loaf cooked so much faster and the inside was a bit too moist and crumbly. This despite the correct oven temperature. I tried making this again at 290-300 F with the same results, only it took longer to bake. Still, it tastes great.

Mayonnaise Cake I

It has a nice texture, but the taste doesn't taste like regular chocolate cake. There is something peculiar about the taste of this cake.... Still ok, though. The person I gave it to really liked it.

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

No other chocolate chip recipe gratifies my taste buds like this one does! I remember my mother used to bake these for us a little more than a decade ago. Brings back memories! I added a tsp of baking powder to keep them from getting flat.

Sunshine Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
This cake was very easy to make. It doesn't taste special, but I think as a sponge cake, it does its job well. It will make a nice "base" for fillings, frostings, or icings. A very neutral recipe. It holds its shape well and looks nice. I served it with a nice lemon frosting and everyone loved it.

Deep Dish Brownies

Delicious, but a little too rich and sweet for my taste. Everyone in my family loved it, though so I'll give it a five stars. Very easy to make. I sprinkled chocolate chips on top of the brownies at the middle of baking.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2004
These tasted great, but I would have to agree with the other users who said they were a tad too sweet (and I have a REALLY sweet tooth). Also, they came out rather flat despite my having refrigerated the dough for 30 minutes prior to baking. I did not grease the cookie sheets and they came out ok.
