Toffee Bar Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
Excellent recipe! This is so good the first day, but is sooooo much better the next day and stays moist for several days. I used packaged toffee bits to avoid breaking up the candy bars. We prefer the bits w/o chocolate for this recipe. We love this recipe and people with whom we've shared the cake beg us to make it again and again.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2005
My husband wouldn't stop eating these cookies and his friends at work ate all he brought and wanted him to bring more the next day. I doubled the recipe and used an equal amount of oatmeal and flour. Next time I may use more oatmeal than flour. I used crunchy peanut butter, but next time may use smooth peanut butter and add walnuts. These are definitely a family favorite.

Banana Date Flaxseed Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
This is a moist, delicious bread that's not too sweet- just right for toasting. Instead of oil, I add another banana. I use pecans instead of dates and part whole wheat flour. However, this recipe is great as is- other than the flax, this is identical to my Mom's recipe and her bread was devoured almost as soon as it came out of the oven.

This has lots of great pumpkin flavor, but I found it a little sweeter than I prefer. My family devoured it!

Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2001
This is the old fashioned Snickerdoodle recipe I remember as a kid. We would make a thumbprint in the middle and fill it with a tart jelly before baking. Quite delicious!

I had some ginger cereal flakes with raspberries that I used instead of bran flakes. Very tasty! Quite a hit with our Russian exchange student.

Great sauce! I experimented with it, added brown sugar, bbq sauce, smoke marinade. Lots of vinegar is the key.

Delicious! I used canned sliced tomatoes instead of the soup. You can also use fresh. This is good over rice.

Amish White Bread

This is the fluffiest, lightest white bread recipe I have found. Easy to make, perfect every time. Add 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese and 1/2 chopped canned jalepenos for a nice variation.

I use deep dish pie shells, smoked ham from the deli and add sauteed onion.I make four at a time and freeze two non-baked pies. This is the best quiche I've ever tasted. Very easy, also.
