About this Cook
Thanks to this website, my husband thinks I'm a pretty good cook! I've learned so much from AllRecipes, and I've found something I really enjoy doing. Eventhough recipes don't always turn out perfectly, I find cooking and baking somewhat therapeutic for me. After a long day, I like to get in the kitchen by myself, relax, and try out a new recipe from here. It's a good way to clear my mind :)
My favorite things to cook
When I was younger I mainly made desserts, but after I got married, I discovered other things besides sweets! Like to make recipes with fish, chicken, pasta, fresh veggies, and I love a good salad. And of course any breakfast/brunch foods! I love having breakfast for dinner!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making cookies with my Mom & younger sister at Christmas.. I can't wait to have children of my own so I can continue the tradition
My cooking triumphs
Successfully making Marshmallow Fondant..finally!
My cooking tragedies
Too many..my most recent tragedy happened when I put cobbler in one of those flimsy silicone pans. Don't know what I was thinking.. while moving it from the countertop to the oven, I put my hand underneath it and pushed the bottom up and flipped the pan inside out! Needless to say, cobbler went everywhere! Not fun to clean up!

Tater Tot Casserole II
My husband wanted me to make this and he really enjoyed it. I didn't care for it much, but just because I'm not a huge fan of tater tots. I added 1 lb of seasoned ground beef, and put it on top of the tots. Easy, and inexpensive. 4 stars because hubby devoured it :)

Smoked Cheese Ravioli
Perfect. We love this dish, and I really love the simplicity of it! I didn't have parsley, so I added a sprinkle of dried oregano. Quick, flavorful, and elegant. You can't go wrong with this one. Thank you Amber!

Mini OREO Surprise Cupcakes
I enjoyed making these, and they turned out wonderfully! I found that you can use more than 1/2 tbsp of filling in each cupcake like other reviewers had mentioned. I used a chocolate cake mix, and topped with Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting from this site, and was more than pleased with the final product. The cupcakes had just the right amount of oreo/cream cheese taste in each one. Will be making again :)
