Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

I'm not a big fan of big slabs of meat for dinner, but this was awesome. Very simple, but with unbelievable flavor! Great with pico de gallo, Mexican rice, and a little salad.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Excellent. I followed the most helpful reviewer's tips. I don't care for pork chops and I ate all of mine. If you use boneless, make sure you brine the meat first.

Very good. I followed the recipe exactly, and paired it with pork chops. Thanks!

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
I can't believe how good this soup was! My husband came home and asked "what smells so good?" After reading some reviews, I made the following changes: Add carrots, celery, and a can of cannellini beans; use can of seasoned, diced tomatoes w/juice instead of the stewed tomatoes; use chicken stock instead of the bouillon; add Italian herbs.

Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
I am from Austin, and I drink a LOT of margaritas. I loved this recipe because it was not sweet, but pleasantly tart. I hate mixes and usually squeeze my own limes and just add silver tequila and cointreau. This is much easier, less expensive, and almost as good.

Becky's Chicken Salad

Really tasty! For a lighter version, use 1/2 c light mayo and 1/2 c light sour cream instead of 1 c mayo, and 1% works fine instead of whipping cream.

Really delicious. High in calories, but great for a camping power breakfast. Carried me through a long bike ride! I really like the tart flavor of cranberries instead of dates.

Fruity and refreshing, not too sweet. perfect balance of alcohol to mixer. I think pineapple juice and cran-raspberry work best!

Marinated Spicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
I don't really care for pork chops and I really liked these. I let them marinate for 6 hours and then threw them on the grill. They were moist and tasty, though not very spicy.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

VERY delicious and easy. Used some strawberries that were on their way out... what a great way not to let fruit go to waste! The sauce was delicious over angel food cake. Next time I think I will cut the sugar in half since I don't have much a sweet tooth.

Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Ice Pops

The flavor is really great. In fact, my husband had the extra as a breakfast smoothie. I used bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. The texture was a little icy, not smooth, but I may have added too much fruit.

Banana Crumb Muffins

These were incredible. After reading the other reviews, I wanted to avoid dryness without adding fat, so I added an extra banana. The muffins came out moist, delicious, and very banana-y. Will make again and again.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

These are almost identical to the recipe on the quaker oat lid. Very good cookie. Sealed in an airtight container they stay fresh for a few days. Also, I would definitely soak the raisins first ( I prefer golden).

Good recipe, but not the best. It was a little too peppery for me. Also, you can add 50% more noodles for the amount of sauce it makes.

Great basic recipe for a baked potato. The skin gets really nice and crispy and the insides are fluffy. I will never microwave again. Perfect with butter, pepper and a little sour cream.

YUM! Thanks for the recipeI didn't have any baking soda or baking powder so I left them out and used Bisquick instead of the flour. The result was still really delicious. I will make this in the future for sure. Next time I might add some chopped pecans or walnuts.

Cabbage Beef Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Definitely will be my New Year's Day meal from now on! Every year I struggle to find a palatable way to eat my cabbage and black eyed peas on NYD. The only changes I made were using black eyed peas instead of kidney beans, using 16 oz tomato sauce and 16 oz canned chopped tomatoes, using beef broth instead of water, and using only 2 bouillion cubes. My guests loved it and so did I.
