Peanutbutteriest Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
If you are looking for the soft and chewy cookies mom used to make, keep looking, these are a sandies kind of cookie. The texture on these cookies is what makes them FABULOUS! I've made them several times and never had a problem. Let them cool on the sheet and they are melt in you mouth ready to eat, and I dare you not to eat them all!

V-Eight Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I can't say I liked it. I started out with the recipe as is... but it lacks seasoning! It is what it is, a quick substitute for vegetable beef soup. I tried to save it with the onion soup mix, but that wasn't enough. I ended up adding thyme, oregano and basil, and it was edible. I'm going back to a broth based soup, sorry guys---- and ground beef in a soup? Noooooooooo!

This is the stuff I crave! My mouth starts watering just thinking about it! Make sure you use Sharp cheese, and I add a little extra sugar. Way to make broccoli unhealthy!!!

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
Wet burritos--- who knew they were such a regional favorite. East coast doesn't get it, unless you run into someone from Michigan. This turned out superb... although the tomato soup was noticeably tomato soup--- Enchilada sauce is the perfect substitute ***NOT SALSA!

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
One of the most satisfying things about this recipe is when someone says, "That's homemade, isn't it?" Even if you look at it as a bunch of dried spices, it doesn't taste like it came out of a bottle, or one of those little packets. Yea!

Naan

Family loved this!!! Oddly enough, the yeast never bloomed, I think I was basically making glue patties and throwing them on the grill... Yet they turned out! I'll keep trying this recipe, It totally makes the Indian experience.

Honey-Balsamic Vinaigrette

It didn't work for me. I was sad, but the honey took away all the things I liked about balsamic vinegar. Still searching...

Alfredo Sauce

Worth every star. Temper the egg. I added garlic powder 'cause that's the way I roll! We are sauce-aholics, so I doubled the recipe--- just perfect!

Cookie Balls

Captivating, as you turn those crumbs into mud! I wasn't as into the flavor, but they got rave reviews from anyone who had them. It was a solid mess trying to roll those balls in the candy coating, i haven't figured a good system for that yet.

Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I used this recipe because I thought baking would enhance the crispy/saucy flavor. WRONG! Frying is certainly the way to go--- all the way! The sauce totally lost itself after baking and I'll bet it wouldn't have if I hadn't baked them. But as everyone else has said, the bleu cheese dip is uber yummy!

Pesto Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
I had to make my own pesto, which could have been a disaster, but mixed well with the spinach mixture. The jar of Alfredo was far too salty and although it's a nice shortcut, a homemade bechamel would have served better. I used 15oz of ricotta, and it turned out well, I wouldn't be shy to use the recommended 30oz. It's worth keeping to try a few different things.

Vegetable Masala

Ohhh, this is truly good stuff. We always serve it with naan and jasmine or basmati rice. Just be sure to cut vegetables very small, nothing turns you off more than crunching where it doesn't belong.

Indian Chicken Curry II

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
I keep kicking myself for using an Indian recipe that called for cinnamon! That was all I could taste, even with the heat of the other spices. We strained the chicken out of the sauce, so it was still edible, but otherwise we were not pleased!

Pork Chalupas

My sister-in-law came by this recipe twenty years ago. It replaced chili in her household as the go to Game Day food! It smells so good, my mouth is watering from the memory! We always use this over chips covering it with sour cream and cheese....mmmmmm!

Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
Delish!!! Doubled up on everything (no water chestnuts) for a work fundraiser. The curry really makes it. I was suprised that there was no call for onions or garlic... so I cooked my chicken in diced onions and used a cream of mushroom with roasted garlic soup instead of one of the cream of chicken cans. With or without changes or mushrooms, this is comfort food!!

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
This chili leaves a good and not unpleasant afterburn. Surprising after the list of peppers. I thought the sugar was just right, and used a porter for the dark beer. No single flavor seemed to stand out and they melded together perfectly. I'll let you know how it ages.

Curried Wild Rice and Squash Soup

really did not like the orange aftertaste, the entire recipe seemed to be missing something, and as delish as the curry smelled, it did't really make the soup. This is one in the "no" column for me.
