I am 38 and married to a wonderful man and I have 3 beautiful children.
Since I have joined All Recipes I have had to change my diet alot. I am now more into healthy foods and cooking. I am everyday reading up on alternative natural ingredients and oils for cooking. I have incorperated more fish and chicken in my diet and have omitted pork and red meat all together. My reasons for for this change was my health, I was getting sick for unexplained reasons 2 to 3 times a month and I had researched everything I knew to, and even had my house inspected for black mold. It was when I learned about some of the health hazzards that comes with certain foods that I began to slowly change my diet. I am still on this journey and learning more and more everyday, and I still love cooking. I would say that I have more of a passion for cooking now then I ever had before. I now promote healthy organic food alternatives as much as I can, I would love to see everybody eat better for their health.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking Mexican and grilling everything that can be grilled.
Just about anything, I love the finished product.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with my children and teaching them how to cook. They just love it and I love it because they will be able to cook for themselves when they are all grown up.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I go into the kitchen and throw something together and it turns out great. See I am not a throw food together kind of gal,I usually mess it up and no one will eat it. I do better following a recipe, but I am trying to work on that and I am getting better with time.
My cooking tragedies
I actually have had many and could not give details about what I made because I strangely can not or will not remember what I made. Its probably a good thing (that I have a memory lapse) because my tragedy's are equivelant to pig slop.
