About this Cook
My name is Aleah, my friends call me Ha Ha (I'm a clutz). My best friends father also nicknamed me Chef Boyar Ha Ha. Being a massage therapist takes up a lot of evening time so I need fast and easy meals. My husband is thrilled that I found this site and so am I. As a teenager I was too busy (so I thought) to help my mom in the kitchen. A decision I now regret.
My favorite things to cook
Cooking mexican and italian are my favorite. I like the spice from the mexican food. Friends from San Antonio swear by my Chicken Enchiladas thanks to Allrecipes.com. I love italian for it's tomatoes and GARLIC! Garlic is a staple in my house. If I were brave enough it would go in my coffee! I just find that the variety of both mexican and italian make it fun in the kitchen, never a dull night.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas my mom makes spiced tea and dump cake. We sit around and have family time. That is my favorite time. We also make sausage cheese balls for her company at Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering chicken enchiladas. Not messing up every meal I touch. Not calling mom every time I cook a meal to get advise. Pleasing friends with the dishes I cook. Getting a nickname based on my cooking abilities.
My cooking tragedies
Now until 11-5-05 I never had any. Well let's just say I was going to cook Fried Ice Cream. Yeah right!! Everything was going fine until a meltdown happened, literally. I prepared ahead of time and everything but when it came time to roll those darn things it was all over. To this day all I can figure is that my freezer was not cold enough.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Ok I made this last week now all my husbands friends are bringing me apples and pie crusts...I have made 4 pies already. Needless to say it's wonderful but I'm tired of peeling apples already!

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls
This was great! Based on another review I did the recipe exactly like it states but dipped the rolls into egg and lightly breaded with Italian bread crumbs. Hubby and I loved it! Thanks!!!!
