About this Cook
I am a mother of five, and wife if 22 years. I am use to old fashion cooking. But I try my hand in new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Cakes and Cookies, Roast, Chicken Fried and Italian Chicken.Vegetable soup and chicken noodle soup.Breakfast with bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries, biscuits and gravy, grilled ham.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Southern Fried Chicken, Biscuits and Gravy, Meatloaf, Mash Potatoes. My mother was always in the kitchen in her younger years, when she made food she made enough for an army. Hince is why I make my food the way I do.
My cooking triumphs
The very first apple pie I made from scratch. And when I made 6 dozen of cookies for charity for Christmas. That made me feel all warm inside. Cause of doing something for others.
My cooking tragedies
The one time I was cooking with my mother at age 12, and we were making a Sunday dinner, Chicken was a cookin, coleslaw was being made by my mother, and for some reason I was doing 3 things at once gravy-chicken and mash potatoes, I turn for one minute, an pop- the grease hit me in the arm, but then the chicken started burnin..... I learned only cook what you can Handle! Any more than that is Just A Bit TOO MUCH>>>>.....

Tomato Orzo Soup
IT WAS OK. MY FAMILY WAS NOT TO FOND OF IT. I HAD TO ADD ALOT OF SALT TO TAKE THE BITTER TOMATO TASTE. AFTER THAT A DASH OF PEPPER. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS AS IT WAS COOKED EXACTLY TO THE RECIPE FROM ALL RECIPE SITE. WITHOUT ADDING THE TEASPOON OF SALT TO A TABLESPOON. OR ADD IT TO YOUR TASTE. BUT WITHOUT THE SALT IT IS VERY BLAND. SHRTCKE
