Homemade Bread
This is a VERY good bread recipe. If you make a lot of home made bread or use yeast often, you can save a lot of money by buying it in bulk at natural food stores, or even at Sam's. I think I paid about $7 for 2 lbs of yeast there, which would have cost close to $50 if I bought the single yeast packages instead. This recipe is excellent because the bread is flavorful, and you can add more salt or sugar if you prefer. If you want the bread to be soft-crusted, I rub a little extra oil on the dough when I allow it to rise. Also, I save a bit of money by using oil instead of shortening. Thanks for the great recipe, Sandra. This bread with butter is unbelievably tasty! Mmmmm...!

Date Drop Cookies I
Nobody in this house is fond of dates, (the dates were a gift and were quite fresh) but these cookies are really VERY nice. They hold their shape well and look very much like huge chocolate chip cookies. However, you'll need to grease the cookie sheets as the cookies will stick a little. The dates taste far better than raisins in a cookie recipe, in my opinion. Happy baking!

Spicy Chicken Breasts
This spice combination is handy to keep around when you want to make some grilled chicken in a hurry. It's satisfying and makes decent chicken when time is limited. So mix up the spices and save for day when you are rushed. You'll enjoy the results. But if you have time, I recommend marinating the chicken instead.
