About this Cook
Hello, I’ve been cooking since I was very young. When I was little I used to run out to my parents garden and find all sorts of fruits and make many different kinds of smoothies , making my mom try everyone I made. Even though I would make 10 different smoothies she would try them all. My real fascination and love for cooking really started in High School, with a Restaurant Foods Class. I had one of the best teachers and some of the best recipes that I still use today. I love to try and cook any type of food. I also love to go out to eat and see the wonderful creations of other cooks. When I’m not cooking in my free time, I watch the Food Network channel, search All Recipes for more great ideas, or read the many cook books that I have.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! Soft chocolate chip cookies are one of my faves, simple I know but they’re such a treat. I try to cook healthy most of the time and one of my favorite dishes is a Quinoa Tabbouleh. My favorite sandwich to make is a Croque-Monsieur, simply to die for. I make a mean Mac and Cheese with gruyere cheese and fresh bread crumbs. I’m trying truffles for the first time tonight!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking Christmas cookies with my Mom. She makes the best ginger bread bowls to put the cookies in.
My cooking tragedies
Just recently I made Salmon with Lentils, a recipe from Barefoot Contessa (I LOVE her). For the first time I bought kosher salt to cook with. I learned after this dish that a little bit definitely goes a long way.

Couscous with Mushrooms and Sun-Dried Tomatoes
Absolutely Delicious!!! I threw in the Portabellas when I started cooking the Sun-dried Tomatoes and things. I also added fresh mint to the top after it was all done cooking. Very Good Dish!

Banana Oat Muffins
Very moist, but I like muffins that are just a bit more sweet.
