My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a rich multi-cultural background, so I'm well-versed in Irish, German, Hungarian, and Italian cuisine. My great grandmother used to make her noodles from scratch, and I try to use the best and freshest ingredients always.
My cooking tragedies
Once I was living on the bay and decided to make baked potato soup. It was almost finished, just needed a little more salt. Unfortunately, all I could find was a container of sea salt. The humidity had caused it to clump together (unbeknownst to me), and when I upended the container over my lovely pot of soup, the lid flew off and the entire container dumped into my soup. It tasted like I'd made it out of sea water, and needless to say, the batch was discarded.
