Bavarian Apple Torte

The crust was way too thick and contained too much butter! It was very hard to cut without marring the bottom of my pan. The cream cheese tasted like cream cheese - it needs something extra. This was disappointing. I ended up throwing 1/2 of it away because my husband didn't want to eat more than 2 helpings. Sorry.

Apple Cake I

Very good! Husband tried real hard not to ask for a second piece. I used fresh farm apples. I didn't have any nuts on hand, but will add them the next time i make this. I will also try some golden raisins too! Thanks for a great recipe!

This was just OK. No one wanted seconds and I ended up adding spaghetti sauce to the rest and making a meat sauce to go with pasta for the next day.

Peach Cake II

Not what we expected at all! It tasted like "sugar cake". I followed other's suggestions and added more peaches (fresh from the farm). We couldn't taste the peaches at all -- although is was very moist! No one wanted to eat more than one slice -- ended up throwing the rest of the cake away. SORRY...

This was just OK. There seemed to be something missing. We were hoping for MORE flavor. I followed the recipe exactly, the only change was marinating the chicken for 4 hours. I'll have to read some of the posts for additional hints.

Amaretto Divine

This was a good cake, although I will definitely make the cake from scratch next time. I don't care for boxed cake mix. I used 2 square pans instead of 3 round ones. There was enough frosting to very generously frost the middle, top and sides. My family liked having the extra frosting on the cake. The frosting was definitely the bomb! I topped it with lots of finely curled chocolate and drizzled melted chocolate on a diagonal. It looked so pretty. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Thigh Fricassee with Mushrooms and Rosemary

I followed the recipe exactly. No one in my family liked it. Aside from the rosemary, the taste was somewhat bland. We were hoping for more flavor. The tomatoes just made it more odd. Sorry I wasn't able to leave positive feedback.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

WOW! Awesome -- I didn't have time to cook it in a slow cooker, so I just did it in a large cast iron skillet with cover. It cooked for 3 hours and was as tender as can be! We ate it for 3 days and my family wants it again this weekend.

Honey Crunch Pecan Pie

The filling was good - not too sweet, but we didn't care for the whole nuts on top, and it took much longer time to bake, which made the crust overbaked, even though i covered it with foil.
