Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Super easy way to make Stroganoff. I added one packet of Lipton onion soup mix and sauteed the onions with some sliced mushrooms and added them to the slow cooker 30 minutes before serving. Yum!

Taco Seasoning I

This was really good. So much better than the pre-packaged stuff which always tasted sort of "fake" to us. You can actually taste the meat using this recipe. I cooked one pound of beef and added one can of black beans and used the whole recipe of seasoning. I added 2/3c. cold water with a teaspoon of cornstarch mixed in.

Shrimp Fried Rice II

This turned out pretty bland as is. I made it a second time and added chili paste and extra soy sauce. I also replaced the vegetable oil with sesame oil. Much better. You can add pretty much any veggies you want...we added zucchini and some broccoli.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

With a few little changes, we LOVE this recipe. I added celery, carrots, and plenty of fresh garlic and used 1/2 & 1/2 instead of heavy cream. So yummy!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Pretty decent pot roast. Only change I made was to use beef broth instead of water. It does make a *lot* of gravy as many reviewers noted. Not a problem in our house, goes great over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Pork goes into crock-pot and comes out dinner. This one is a no-brainer...so delicious and easy. Toss in some BBQ sauce, put it on a bun with slaw and you've got dinner (and a few lunches). Great recipe.

Creamy Pesto Shrimp

This was a bit of a treat, considering it's a big bowl of butter, cream, and cheese. Very deliciously indulgent. I added some mushrooms to the butter and bit of flour before adding the cream to thicken the sauce a bit. Next time I think I will cook the shrimp separately and then add to the sauce last to ensure they don't get overcooked buried in the dense sauce.

Not quite a five star recipe, even with some changes, but still pretty good. Added lemon juice, capers, and extra garlic. The end result was still a bit bland. Next time I might add some chicken broth instead of wine.

Didn't love it, might be better if the chicken was browned first instead of just being "poached" in wine. Probably won't try this one again.
