I'm an old fashioned cook at heart...in fact, I do most of my cooking (except in the summer, of course) on a wood burning cookstove in my kitchen! Food just tastes sooo much better! Cookstove toast (where you slap it on the top and flip it over quickly before it burns...best with homemade jam), soups and stews, my moms chowder's and pickling recipes, baking of any kind.
