Microwave Baked Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Pretty good. I followed the recipe except I left the skins on. Glad I did because 4 minutes turned 3 apples into applesauce. Delicious though! Great with Maple Walnut ice cream!

I've made this twice, followed the recipe to a T, and it turned out WOW each time. This is one of the best recipes I've ever found on the internet.

Hard Candy

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
Excellennt. I scaled it back to 12 servings and doubled the flavoring. While it was still hot but touchable, I cut it into strips and twisted it around chopsticks, to make ribbon twists, and they looked great. If it is sticking in your teeth, you didn't let it heat up quite enough, try going all the way to 310 degrees using the (lowish)medium heat. This will normally take 20-30 minutes to heat after the boil is reached. If your burning it, turn your heat down to the low side of medium heat and take your time, it'll come out fine. Good luck!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I've made a lot of oatmeal cookies in my life. These are by far the best. I subbed the white sugar for splenda, and dropped them onto sheets instead of refrigerating/rolling. Air-bake cookie sheets, 10 minutes, perfect cookies.

Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
I also use 2 eggs. I prefer to frost with stiffly whipped cream, sweetened with Splenda. This makes great muffins too. It's been awhile since I was using Weight Watcher's, but it seems like if you are careful to not make them giant muffins and don't frost them, they go for one point each, and they freeze well.

Soda Pretzels

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
I subbed vanilla soy milk for the buttermilk and corn syrup for the honey, because that is what I had on hand. After rolling them, I twisted them around hotdogs and baked them, and they were a huge hit with the hubby and kids. I made two without the hotdogs and they were a little drier but not over dry, and you could tell they were wheat. All in all, an easy, great recipe.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
My yeast was expired, it proofed, but I used a little extra just in case, about 1 tsp extra. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly, using my kitchen-aid mixer to knead the dough, and got 16 big awesome hot-dog buns. Oh, one more thing, I let them rise about an hour, recipe says less than that for hot-dog buns.
