I was raised on this pie. This is the exact recipe, right off the can's label, that my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother always baked. Quick, simple, cheap - a great busy weeknight meal. The kids devoured it, and it felt better than giving them a box of mac n' cheese. I used ground turkey instead of beef this time. I'll be using this dish often, I think!

I made one small addition only: the oil & vinegar alone wasn't doing it for me so I added about 1 Tbsp of creamy blue cheese dressing to it - that's all - just a dab. This potato salad has become my personal favourite. Wonderful change of pace!
