About this Cook
I am mother of two great kids. My daughter is 17 and we are getting her ready to go off to college. My son is 12 and we are trying to get him to eat at least one new thing a week, lol. We are a BMX family, we travel most of the summer to local, regional and national BMX races. Both of my children swim on the local YMCA swim teams and my daughter swims also for high school. I own my own sign shop and have always loved doing art.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and make comfort foods. I love trying new recipes, but I will warn you, I never make the recipe exactly the way it is listed. I have my own definate ideas of cooking. I love reading peoples reviews before making anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of my favorite traditions growing up was just spending time in the kitchens of my mother and grandmother. I feel I am a good cook today, because I spent alot of time watching and helping great cooks. My mothers family was Hungarian, and my gradmother was Italian.
My cooking triumphs
I am always excited when people (especially my husband) love my cooking. As a prior wedding cake decorator, I loved making people happy with their wedding cake.
My cooking tragedies
The very first time I made Lasagna for my husband, I forgot to brown the hambuger before baking. He still ate it, is was good while hot, but once it sat, the fat began to show. He still will bring that up until this day, we all get a good laugh.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread
This bread has good taste and is very easy to make...but I think you need to use 2 - pans...mine overflowed and the top was burnt before I could get the inside to be cooked. I think if you split into two pans the problem will be solved

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
I am getting rid of every other chocolate chip cookie recipe I have. These look great and taste even better. Followed directions exactly, did take almost 20 min to bake. Try this recipe, you and your family will not regret it.
