About this Cook
I come from a long line of creative bakers and great chefs! I enjoy cooking, but I adore baking and have deamed it an outlet for letting off steam and winding down from a hard day. When I'm in the kitchen... it's MY time!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I worked as an ice cream cake decorator for nearly 3 years while I was getting my college degree and that got my creative juices flowing in the kitchen. Now, I look for occasions to create some kind of sweet treat to share. When I am cooking meals, I tend to get bored easily and find myself trying new recipes on a pretty regular basis.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookies! We make it all! For about 3-4 days before Christmas my mom, sister, sister-in-laws, grandma, and I spend time baking up a storm. On Christmas Eve we deliver festive cookie plates and tins to family, friends, and neighbors. As my own family creates their own traditions, I have added some of my favorite recipes to our cookie plates.
My cooking triumphs
I just love trying new things! I even have my own website where I have published numerous recipes from family and friends and of course, from my own kitchen. Luckily, my husband enjoys being my cooking/baking guinea pig!
My cooking tragedies
I haven't lit anything on fire (cross my fingers), but I have burned my fair share of meals, cookies, and other baked goods. It's always a tragedy when you have to start over on something you've worked so hard on!

Flourless Chocolate Cake I
This didn't turn out for me. It was a little dry and WAY TOO RICH. Tasted like eating chocolate chips straight outta the bag... One bite was great, but a whole slice was too much for me!

Cheesecake Topped Brownies
YUM! Make sure you refrigerate these before cutting or all the frosting slides off the sides and down into the pan. Very rich.
