My Mom's Apple Sauce Cake
I give this 4 stars because I made some changes to the recipe. I used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose and butter instead of shortening (just my preference). I did not add nuts and raisins and I used store-bought white frosting. This was a delicious spiced cake - a big hit with the husband and 2-year-old!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
These are truly delicious. Very sweet and more of a dessert than a breakfast but so moist and tasty you'll want to eat them all day!

Mexican Bean Pie
I made this without the olives, bell pepper and jalapeno pepper because I didn't have them on hand and don't really like them anyway. I also used frozen corn instead of canned corn. It was delicious and had my meat-eating husband raving about what a good meal it was.
