Raised in south Louisiana,,, grew up cooking. Only classes taken were cake decorating years ago. Got into doing wedding cakes. Love to decorate them. My favorite is gumbo, Louisiana style. I find people make different gumbos in diff. places of the USA but La... is the best. We have large open house on New Years day and serve gallons of gumbo, blackeyed peas and smothered cabbage. Love having lots of company and serving foods. So far my favorite is a spaghetti cake. Looks just like the real thing. Keeping my sons wedding cake from sliding apart before serving.
