Lemon-Dilled Brussels Sprouts

The sauce got 4 stars because my family was dipping the the seared scallops in it. I'm not a huge fan of brussel sprouts and I wouldn't make this again for the sprouts (I'll stick to my honey bacon glaze to make them edible.)

Black Walnut Cake

Almost like my mom's recipe. I prefer the crust softer. Black walnuts are hard to find in Texas! It was irritating because at my mom's all I had to do was go pick them up in the back yard! I think I went to 4 stores before I found some, but this recipe definately brought back memories.

White Chocolate Raspberry Bar

Used Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix because I used up all the flour and sugar in the house. Came out REALLY greasy. I might try it with half the butter or without the cookie mix when I get to the grocery store.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Kind of hard, but I tasted a piece out of the fridge. It should be softer and more fudge-like at room temp. The only change I made was I half-n-halfed the chocolate chips. Came back to give it the extra star, was perfect at room temp and the first thing everyone ate in my Christmas goodie tins. One coworker asked me if she gave me back her tin if I would fill it with this fudge.

Sweet Potato Balls

Baking melted away all the marshmallow center so there was none when we sat down to eat. The cornflakes got soggy too. Won't make again.

Not how I remember the recipe I was trying to duplicate. The first time the milk curdled and I threw it all out. The second time it was too watery but edible. I put it in the blender to make it smoother. I needs to be thicker so add flour?

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

I'm not a huge fan of pudding, but this was pretty good. I did change one thing. I replaced a teaspoon of vanilla extract with coconut extract. And have also stirred in chopped strawberries.
