Southern Turnip Supreme

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Subbed pepperjack for cheddar, and used chicken bullion instead of veggie (didn't have veggie on hand). This was my first time trying turnips and both my husband and I loved it! We'll definitely make this again.

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
The only change I made was to use about 1/2 of the chiles recommended (don't like that much spiciness). Turned out great!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
Few modifications (I don't like really spicy): Omitted cumin, halved the cayenne, no jalpenos. Added one can of "Mexicorn" (corn with red peppers, onions and black beans). Only used 2 cans of Great Northern beans instead of 3. Served with sour cream and cheese with tortilla chips crumbled on top, and it was delicious! A real keeper that I will definitely make again.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
This is the best apple pie my husband and I have ever had! I added cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves to the syrup. I also only needed 5 apples- I think the ones I bought must have been too large because I ran out of room in my pie plate! This is definitely going into my permanent recipe box, and will be used for years to come. Thank you for sharing with us!

French Onion Soup III

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
This is the best French onion soup my hubby and I have ever had. What's even better was how simple it was! I used slices of toasted Italian bread covered with garlic in the soup, and used a shredded "Italian cheese blend" instead of swiss. It was fantastic, and I will definitely make it again!

Taco Soup III

As just soup, it was pretty good. However, we thawed some frozen leftovers of it recently, added velveeta and sour cream and it was an AMAZING dip for tortilla chips.

Sour Cream Pork Chops

I added red pepper flakes, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the flour before dredging the meat (I had pork medallions instead of chops, so I used those). It was AMAZING! This will be going in my permanent recipe box.

This was delicious! I used a mixed italian cheese blend instead of plain mozzarella, and I added some grated parmaesan. A+!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
This was a great recipe, with a couple of additions: I added some onion power, oregano and garlic power to the dough while mixing it. I then topped it with some leftover homemade bolognese sauce instead of pizza sauce. It was definitely the best pizza I've made at home.

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Very good. I thought that perhaps there was a bit too strong of a vinegar flavor, but my husband and I both really enjoyed it. I plan to add chicken to it and serve it with lo mein for an asian-themed dinner in the future.
