Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
Wow this was AWESOME. I accidentally used the lipton soup mix for Spinach Dip (oops) and it was still FABULOUS. I added carrots/potatoes 1 hour from the end of cooking.

Baked Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
This was super easy and really tasty! I used other reviewer's suggestions and subbed the water for Chardonnay and added italian breadcrumbs on top near the end of cooking. The breadcrumbs didn't brown much but did make a good sauce when mixed in.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Super easy to make. I usually cook the rice in beef stock and add scallions at the end before serving. Using the sesame oil is a must!

Bob's Habanero Hot Sauce - Liquid Fire

I made this with half the habaneros and it was still really HOT! It was great as a marinade for grilled chicken and ribs :)

Really good flavors, I will probably cut down on the oil and sugar next time

Lamb Shank Braised in White Wine with Rosemary

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
I made this with only one lamb shank but only halved the sauce ingredients using my cast iron skillet. It was fantastic!

Buffalo Chicken Wings II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
I left my wings whole and broke them up after cooking. Raised the oven temp to 400 as suggested by previous reviewers. The wings were SUPER crispy and the sauce was awesome! I substituted red wine vinegar and added garlic powder. Fantastic!

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Maybe it's because I didn't grill the chicken but I thought this had very little flavor.

Lime Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
The flavor was wonderful (even without the lime juice which I did not have, but will make it with next time). I used less butter/olive oil to try and cut down on the fat. this is a great starter recipe which could be adapted to many different ways.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
I followed a lot of the reviewers suggestions and did my meatballs in a saute pan before hand and cooked the pasta seperately. I couldn't find escarole at the store so I used some other leafy looking green and it didn't seem to make a difference. This was a great soup!

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
This was very tasty. The only thing I did different was add fresh garlic. I did not think it was too spicy at all. I will get ground beef with less fat in it next time though.

Really good! We pre-cooked the chicken by boiling it in water with a chicken bullion cube.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Can you say tasty?!?! I used a herb oil and regular balsamic from the Kroger. Cooked mine on my friend's green egg until internal temp was 150 degrees. Fantastic!

Asian Coleslaw Light

I thought this was pretty good. I accidentally dropped half my noodles into sink so could only use half. It was still good, I am thinking maybe you could give it some zip with a chili pepper which I may try next time. Would be great during the summer - awesome crunch!

Wow - this soup is going to be a regular addition. Followed the recipe exactly (except for adding a little bacon salt). The sweet potatoes are key to this dish. Perfect for fall/winter!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
First time I have made fudge and this came out so good! I followed the recipe exactly and having the chips/nuts measured out before the mixture comes to a boil helps a lot. As in any candy making, stirring often is a must so that it doesn't burn. I can't wait to experiment with other flavor combos like mint, orange, and pepperment!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

The best soft cookies I have tasted in awhile. Followed the recipe exactly and the Jello did the trick. This recipe could easily have been cut in half (unless you are baking presents for people as I was). Everyone loved it!

I cut the recipe in half and it still came out great! I had 2 lemons and 2 limes so I used those for the juice and added some fresh thyme and lemon zest strips. Cooked perfectly!

Poblano Chile Enchiladas a la Gringa

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
This is one of the best enchilada recipes I've ever tried. Better than most restaurants! I add a roasted jalapeno for extra heat and reduce the chicken broth to 1/2 cup to make the sauce a bit thicker. I don't fry my corn tortillas to save on fat and throw it in the oven at 350 to get the cheese bubbly.
