Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Delicious! Added some sugar as suggested (I use Sucanat), real raw cream and added a few more spices and it hit the spot! Definitely a keeper!

Smoked Salmon Quesadillas

These are sensational! I make them every Christmas (and they always get devoured). I cook mine for exactly 8 minutes. It makes it easier if you freeze your peanut butter cups for a few minutes before you start to take the wrapping off. As for waiting for them to cool, I do mine for like 15-20 minutes and they are hard enough to come out. Also, I use lots and lots of Pam on the bottom of the pans so they won't stick and just slide right out (respray before each batch).

Sweet Potato Pie I

This is almost the same exact recipe my mom gave me years ago. Only instead of white sugar we use light brown sugar. Definitely one of my favorites that we make EVERY year at Thanksgiving!!

Banana Berry Smoothie II

This was a fantastic recipe! I made it as said the first time. The second time I got creative and added more strawberries (I used 6 frozen strawberries) and decreased milk to 3/4 cup (I actually tried my vanilla soy milk), and added 1 extra tablespoon of yogurt. Delic!

Pork and Shrimp Pancit

Very bland. We are big eaters of Phillipino food and this doesn't even compare to what we have eaten. I had to add soy sauce at the end because it didn't taste like anything, even with the soy sauce it wasn't very good. Sorry!

Annie's Turkey Salad

Fantastic! I had to alter the recipe a tad (didn't have mayo-mustard blend) so I just put 1 1/4 cup mayo & 1/4 cup yellow mustard. Also with the eggs, I used all 6 eggs but took out 3 yolks (trying to save on fat!). Could have used less mayo though. Definitely a keeper!

Honey Baked Chicken II

Yummy! This chicken came out fantastic! I used wings/drumsticks. I just put everything into a casserole dish and baked it for an hour and the chicken was so tender. I upped the curry powder to 1 1/2 tsp and decreased the butter to 1/4 cup. Also added a tsp minced onion.

Bulgogi (Korean Barbecued Beef)

This recipe was fantastic! We are big fans of Korean food (my husband lived there for 2 years) and he gave me 2 thumbs up with this recipe. We did not add the MSG and it still came out fantastic. I let the marinade sit for 2 hours and served it with sticky rice...PERFECT! Thanks!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

This recipe was fantastic! I added some garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the flour mixture and I ended up having to double my wine. I used half and half instead of cream (didn't have it on hand) and I did not need to use the cornstarch. The flour from the chicken thickened it up perfectly. This one is definitely a keeper!

Salmon Chowder

This recipe is FANTASTIC! We were looking for a good chowder to use with all of our fresh salmon. We just grilled the salmon with some Adobo spices before adding to the chowder. Very flavorful and even better the next day. We made some a week ago and I am already craving more! Definitely a keeper!

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are fantastic! I'm a big fan of using Crisco in cookies. I didn't have any mexican vanilla on hand but regular vanilla came out just as well! Definitely a keeper!

Asparagus Parmesan

Unfortunately for me the only asparagus I had at my disposal was canned but it still came out WONDERFUL! I can just imagine what it would taste like with fresh asparagus. I know that when my husband gets back he's gonna love these!!

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

These were fantastic! The first few bites seemed wierd but I became accustomed to the taste (orange and chocolate...). I used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 3/4 cup regular flour. I found that I did have to add 2 tbsp. of liquid onto what the recipe called for. I tried to form into a ball before adding liquid to find that it didn't stick together at all. I also used milk chocolate chips, I don't buy semi-sweet. Wonderful recipe, one that I'll be using for a long time!!

Apple Cider Sauce and Pork Loin Chops

This has got to be the best pork that I have ever eaten. I did not have frozen apple cider, but luckily I had fresh apple cider in the fridge! I didn't have sherry on hand, but next time I will make sure to try it with that as well. The pork was tender and moist. Delicious!!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

These muffins are AWESOME! They aren't as sweet as some muffins out there, but because they aren't so sweet I don't feel bad about eating them for breakfast! Only thing I changed was I substituted applesauce for the oil (I always do that) and I added some vanilla extract. Also, I only had regular old fashioned oats and so I ground them a little in the blender then soaked them. Came out great! This one is definitely a keeper!

White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies

I have to admit that at first I was very skeptical. I didn't have any unsalted butter so I just used regular butter. After trying the dough it didn't taste very good. I dropped them onto my cookie sheet and they did not form at all. Up until maybe the last 2 minutes of cooking did they turn from balls into cookies (I had to cook them for 13 minutes). I had some trouble getting them off my cookie sheet (I did grease them) but other than that they were delicious. My 2 year old daughter just devoured them!
