Apple Dip

I can't believe how yummy this is and it's so simple! Even the World's Pickiest Eater (my boyfriend's son) loves it. The first time I've been able to get him to eat something healthy! Thanks!

Banana Nut Cake

Very very tasty. I used regular milk because I didn't have buttermilk, and half walnuts and half pecans because that's what I had, and it still came out great. My boyfriend loved it. He took the pan to work and everyone devoured it!

New Duchess Spice Cake with Maple Buttercream Frosting

Very yummy, and easy to make. I thought the buttercream frosting was a bit too sweet, so will probably try cream cheese frosting next time, but it is a fabulous spice cake.

Broccoli With Lemon Almond Butter

The brocoli flavor was completely overpowered by the lemon flavoring. I would have liked it better with just the butter and almonds. May try it again that way.

Herbed Green Bean Casserole

Only so-so. Flavor was good, but the beans came out very mushy and the amount of herb mixture was too much. I may try again with fresh green beans rather than canned, and lower the amount of mix.

Cheesecake Supreme

Excellent! I didn't catch in the previous reviews the trick about the long baking at low temp, I just did as per the recipe, so it came out a bit runny, but still extremely good. Will try again and am confident with the additional baking time it will be perfect!

Whole Wheat Pita Bread

Very good! Easy to make and comes out perfectly - exactly like the pitas I get at the store. I used 2 cups wheat flour and 1 cup all-purpose. After first rise and before rolling out, I refrigerated overnight due to my schedule. Still came out perfectly. I may add a bit of honey next time just to give a touch of sweetness, but this recipe is awesome just as it is.

Chicken Satay

Very good! Even the pickiest eater in the world (my boyfriend's son) liked it. Will definitely be making again. Made exactly as instructed. Only change I will make is to keep extra marinade for basting during cooking to keep meat moist. Flavor is excellent!

Broccoli Casserole

Very tasty. I have been trying to recreate the broccoli cheese rice casserole served by a local restaurant for my boyfriend - it's his favorite - and this is the closest thing yet! Very cheesy and rich. With a few tweaks this will probably become a standard around the house.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Pretty good. Very quick and easy to make. The topping part is quite yummy, but the main loaf was a little less seasoned that we would prefer. I will definitely make this again, but will add some worcestershire sauce to see if we can kick it up a notch!

Jambalaya II

Excellent!! My boyfriend was raving after just one bite! We will be making this again and again. The chopping of veggies is the only part of this that is a little tedious, otherwise simple to make. I omitted the chicken and used canned chicken stock instead of the homemade broth, but otherwise followed to the letter. Perfect amount of kick in my opinion, but easily adjusted up or down as desired. Definitely a keeper! Thanks!

Best Brownies

Quite good. Very easy to make, came out tasty. I used this to make Rocky Road brownies - topped brownies with mini marshmallows, nuts and some chocolate chips, then put frosting over that. Very good and gooey, but almost too much! Nonetheless, the brownies themselves were very good.
