About this Cook
I'm a busy mom of 2 boys and a busy girl. I went to school for cooking and did it for 2 years! I love to cook new things!
My favorite things to cook
Beef Stew. I have my great great great grandmas recipe and I have never had a better stew! I did make a few modern day changes but it still tastes the same as the frist time I had it. I love to bake cookies to. All kinds!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well my "new fanily" tradition started the year I was with my husband and I met his family. We had Thanksgiving dinner and I made Sweet potato pie (great grandmas recipe) and that was the first time anyone had it. Now I have to make it every year!
My cooking triumphs
I made a few authentic greek recipes and I was very happy with the results!
My cooking tragedies
I started to baked a very nice cake for my oldest birthday. I had the timer on and I check on it a few times 2 min after I checked it for the last time It burned BAD! I have no idea how it happen but I had to remake everything! The party was late. I haven't baked a cake since.

Sweet Potato Pie I
My family loved it!!!! It is by far the best sweet potato pie I have ever made! I made a few changes I cut up the potato into large chunks then cooled under cold water, it cut the boiling in half. and I used heavy whipping cream. I also added decorative cinnamon/sugar leafs made out of extra pie crust arranged around the edges and a few in the center. Thank you for the recipe.

Honey White Loaves
I really love this recipe. It does slice nicely. I scaled mine down to one loaf. But next time I'll make the full recipe. Thank you!!

Grandma's Cocoa Meringue Pie
I added 2 tbl butter and a 1/2 c more milk and it turned out alright. I gave it 3 stars because of the confusion. But other then that it was not bad but I don't see myself making it again any time soon. tks anyway.
