OMG these are to die for! I make these each year for our family Christmas party. I take home an empty plate each time!

OMG. Just like Mom used to make. I added chopped walnuts and raisins in between layers of biscuits. I also sprinkled each layer with a little extra cinnamon/sugar mix. It was devoured by my family. Thanks OP for sharing.

Swedish Meatballs II

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
Delicious! I made this meatballs as directed, but like others suggested, I used the sauce from Swedish Meatballs I (1 cup evap. milk, 1 can cream of chicken, 1 can of cream of mushroom). I cooked the meatballs, drained them, added them to my crockpot in layers, pouring the sauce over each layer. Cooked on low for 4 hour. OMG. We will never eat any other meatballs. These would be great with marinara over pasta.

Restaurant Style Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Yummy! The whole family loved it! I loved it because I made it with whole wheat pasta and 2% processed cheese. I also used whole milk instead of cream b/c that's what I had on hand. Will make again...and again and again!

Campfire Skillet Breakfast

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This was very good. We used breakfast sausage instead of bacon. My picky kids ate it right up! My husband loved it as well. I made in in a skillet on the stove, but we will definately make it camping this summer!

Cowboy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
Yummy! I doubled the cheese and added 4 oz of softened cream cheese. I used frozen (thawed) yellow corn that I threw in with the potatoes and carrots during the last two minutes of boiling so the corn would be hot too. I added 1 tsp of garlic powder, salt, pepper each. Next time I will boil the carrots about 5 minutes before I add the potatoes, I had a hard time mashing them. I resorted to using my hand mixer. They still tasted great! I took this to a dinner at my mom's house, they kept well in the crock pot on "warm" for several hours. Everyone loved them. Even the kids...a nice way to sneak in some veggies!

I omit the cherries due to personal preference, but otherwise I make this exactly as written. It's delicious! We sometimes add some water chestnuts and serve over steamed rice for dinner too.

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
I used this recipe as a base and used suggestions from several PP. I baked the "crust" in a 9x13 pan for 16 minutes at 350, next time I'll spread it a litle thinner for a crispier crust. While that was baking, I browned 1 lb ground beef with a chopped onion. Drain when cooked. Return meat mixture to frying pan. Add taco seasoning and water per package instructions. Also add 1 can of corn and 1 can of black beans, both drained and rinsed. In a sauce pan, combine 1 can refried beans and one 10 oz can of Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies. When the crust is baked, spread refried bean mixture down first. Top with meat mixture. Top with cheese. Bake for 10 minutes at 350. I had taco toppings available and we all fixed our to our own liking (green pepper, tomato, lettuce, sour cream). We ate the tortilla chips on the side. My husband said "it's a keeper" which is two thumbs up in his book!

Easy Cheese and Ham Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
The cheese sauce didn't thicken as much as I would have like (that's why I gave it only 4 stars). Next time I'll probably use slightly less cream and maybe more cheese. My husband loved it! We ate this for leftovers until it was gone...which is rare in our house...we are not leftover lovers!

Puppy Chow

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
I reduced the amount of cereal to 8 cups, and added 1/4 cup butter and 1 tsp of vanilla to it. I cooled it slightly in the fridge before tossing with the powdered sugar so it doesn't absorb it so much...coats better with less. This is soooo adictive. I can't make it unless I know there are people here to help me eat it or it's gone before I know it! ****Here's a tip, line your measuring cup with saran wrap before mesauring the peanut butter. It will slide right out with no messy clean up! I do this for all sticky ingredients (shortening, honey, pb, corn syrup) Works great!***

Caramel Popcorn

Excellent!!! It rivals some of the best fudge/candy shops on Mackinac Island, Michigan. I only bake it 30 min. stirring every 10 minutes. I find that if I bake it 60 minutes it becomes grainy.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
These are great! I add diced onion and green pepper to the mixture. I use our favorite bbq sauce instead of making the one listed to save time. I portion the meat mixture in my 1/2 cup measuring cup and make little mounds. This way they are all even and they are just perfect! They are even better reheated the next day for meatloaf sandwiches.

Baked Spaghetti

This was very good. I would add garlic salt next time instead of season salt and like previous posters I added a chopped green pepper with onion and meat. My husband raved about this for 2 days! He doesn't normally eat leftovers, but he ate this several times over the weekend.

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
Very easy recipe. I made it with smoked sausage instead of ham. I put the green beans, potatoes and onions in the crock pot and cooked it on low for 8 hours. I added the smoked sausage for the last 2 hours. When I make it again, I will only add 1/2 an onion. We will try ham the next time!

Marinated Chicken Kabobs

This is a wonderful recipe. We have also used the marinade recipe for stir fry and to marinate a pork loin then grilled it. I marinated the chicken overnight in a ziploc bag. It was soooo tender.

I love these. I added 1/2 pk of jello mix to add flavor (my mom did that when I was a kid). I only had large marshmallows on hand so i used a 10oz bag and they turned out great.

The was okay, but not the best BBQ Beef we've ever had. We added additional bottled bbq sauce to it because we thought it was a little dry. I made it exactly as written.
