Alfredo Blue

Wow, super tasty. I also did not remove the garlic as I used 3 cloves diced and added a can of mushrooms. Seared some steak and sliced on top with crumbled bacon on top. My boyfriend devoured it!

I also cut the bacon into thirds and it covered just fine. So yummy and easy, yeah wrapping each chestnut takes time but so worth it!

Hot Spinach Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
OMG! This dip is fantastic! I sliced one red pepper and 3 gloves of garlic very thin and roasted in the oven with maybe a tablespoon of olive oil and a teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Mixed in the spinach/pepper with the diced roasted peppers and garlic. Used Parmesan/Romano blend cheese and doubled the cheese. SO GOOD!

Bob's Stuffed Banana Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
Pretty darn good! I used this recipe as a starting point: I stuffed Banana & Hungarian Hot Wax peppers with a mixture of raw minced onions, breadcrumbs, cream cheese, 2 cloves minced garlic and italian seasonings. Half a jar of spaghetti sauce in the pan and the remaining over top of the peppers, a little sprinkle of mozzarella and FABULOUS!

Stuffed Hot Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
very yummy, i used sweet banana peppers with spicy italian sausage and chopped two of my hot wax peppers into the cream cheese mixture. I'm not a huge fan of spice but my guy is. Settled the stuffed peppers on a bed of meat marinara sauce and leftover spicy sausage. Truly tasty

Alice Chicken

just about the tastiest dish! My guy also favors spicy so I heap his chicken with sauteed mushrooms and fresh slices of jalapenos then a sprinkle of shredded taco cheese and covered with a paper thin slice of habanero jack cheese.

Jackie's Special Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
I used this as a base recipe, wrapped my meatloaf around two string cheese (cheddar) sticks that I'd frozen, brushed a layer of ketchup over top and laid several thick sliced applewood smoked bacon on top. The best meatloaf you'll EVER eat!

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
This sounded terrible to me, maple syrup and salmon? Yuck! Boy was I wrong! GREAT TASTE! So easy and so yummy. I had company over, who I found out later aren't big salmon or maple syrup fans. They loved it! Cleaned plates and asked if they could take some leftovers if I didn't think I could eat it all before it spoiled (yeah I think they just wanted more!) Super!

Salmon Cakes II

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
Wow! Way tasty. I could only find Panko (japanese breadcrumbs) so used about 1/3 of that. Added half a red bell pepper, diced very tiny, I used red onion hearts for my onions, less harsh, plenty of flavor. 1 teaspoon Old Bay TM seasoning and 2 tablespoons dill weed. I did fry in the olive oil/butter mixture but I coat in flour instead of dusting, coat again in Panko and then pan fry. Tried baking, same great flavor, just not enough calories. :)

Pretty darn good. I played with a bit since, I'm a simple cheese gal so substituted cheddar for Romano. Added minced red onions and a teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning. Very very tasty!

Lemon Sauce for Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
Great flavor. I didn't have any cayenne and used 1 tablespoon mild green tabasco and 1/2 teaspoon red tabasco. I also minced a clove of garlic and sauteed in butter before adding flour. I misread it also and used 4 TABLEspoons! Had to add more butter, milk and lemon juice. Awesome once I had it back into the proper balance.

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops

Very simple and very tasty! I sliced my potatoes very thin and had no trouble with their cooking time. Added 8oz of rough chopped button shrooms into sauce just before removing from heat and saute the onions with 2 cloves minced garlic. Wow how good is this! My boyfriend even did his best Homer impression, AH Pork Chops! LOL A Keeper!

Very good, I don't do green onions, just double the red. Miracle Whip makes it tangier and some jalapeno juice for my hot loving boyfriend.

Fantastic Gorgonzola and White Wine Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
Oh my was this amazing! I used a Pinot Grigio that I was sipping as I prepped for Xmas brunch. Tossed in about 2 tablespoons of 2% Velveeta had left over from previous recipes. Never made a cheeseball before though I've been an avid fan of them for years. Didn't know about the elbow grease it takes to properly blend all the stuff together. But turned out absolutely amazing, great flavor. No paprika and couldn't find a small bag or pistachios in the store so rolled in diced walnuts and pecans that were around the house. Could not pry my blue cheese loving grandma away from the cheeseball!
