Mexican Wedding Cookies

These are really good, but I'm not sure about the 3 hour chill time. Mine was hard as a rock after 3 hours and I had to let it sit out a bit before I could form the dough into balls. Suppose it could be my fridge but 3 hours seems excessive. Ultimately it was a good cookie.

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies

For the past 3 years, I have been making this cookie as well as Beth's Spicy Oatmeal cookies (from this site) and a white chocolate/cranberry/machademia nut cookie for gifts for my friends, neighbors and coworkers. So far this year, I have made 26 dozen cookies and tonight I will be baking another 15 dozen (at least). Today, my next door neighbor at work came over and asked me to bake him 2 dozen of these mint cookies and then he paid me $15 a dozen for them! That's how good these are!

Mom's Chocolate Meringue Pie

I did add an additional 1 T cornstarch and it set up just fine. Great taste, texture. I did however use the Meringue II recipe from this site because I've had great success with it - no weeping. Still, the chocolate filling was great and I'm glad I used that part of the recipe.

Hubby kept begging for a chocolate meringue pie, since I don't usually like meringue, I had never made it. This recipe has changed my opinion of meringue, I now realize how good it can actually be...thanks!

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

This recipe was easy and quite good. Only addition I made was to add bacon and a few dashes of Creole seasoning. Will be making this again during the coming winter months. Thanks for sharing.

easy and tasty. I did use more bacon than recipe calls for and next time I will split the bisquits as suggested by others. Served at brunch along with Grandma Johnson's Scones, Devonshire Cream (both on this site), fresh fruit, coffee and mimosas.
