I am newly married (got married in July 2004). I moved in with my husband from my mom's house, so I don't have much experience cooking or planning meals. I am trying to experiment and learn, and am looking forward to the fun of creating food for my family. I don't have too many yet. I like to make easy meals, usually with chicken breast or ground turkey, but would like to expand soon. Baking cookies at Christmas. Really making them from scratch, none of this break the little squares off the store-bought brick and bake. Sorry, no offense to anyone, but that just not what making cookies should be like. My favorite family cooking tradition though, is Christmas morning chocolate gravy and biscuits. It's a family recipe and it's very dear to me. I am looking forward to trying it out myself this year. No real significant ones yet really. I'll update when there is... Knock on wood... nothing's caught on fire or exploded yet. But I did make some meatloaf that didn't remain a loaf, have to work on that.
