I am a recent college grad and am married to a wonderful man that I have known for 7 years. My grandmother was a home economic's teacher, so she was a fabulous cook and baker. My mom however, was the opposite. She never cooked. So my mom says I make my grandmother proud by cooking since the cooking style obviously skipped a generation. I love dinking around with pastas and sauces. I love making different kinds of salads, dips and sandwiches. None really after my grandmother died... About the only cooking tradition we had was eating out or making pecan pie. My queso has been a hit since I was just playing around one day with some Velveeta, and it has been the most requested item at all the gatherings and parties I go to. I don't usually have a problem burning food when I cook, just myself.
