Chicken and Dumplings III
This was very good! I have tried several recipes for chicken and dumplings, finally giving up. But tonight I proved that I can make chicken and dumplings. I was disappointed to see that I was out of cream of celery, and substituted one can cream of mushroom and one can cream of chicken. I also replaced one cup of water with chicken broth and a tbls. of chicken bouillon, per the advice of other reviewers. And, as most meals in our home are not complete without it, I added one tsp. hot-sauce. I found that smaller dumplings are better, so I flattened the biscuits and cut small pieces with meat scissors. Turned out the perfect size. Each biscuits equaled about 20 dumplings. Thank you for sharing an awesome recipe. I can not wait to try it again with cream of celery. I believe it will make an awesome meal even better!
