I was raised around a family of cooks, my father was a proffessional Barbeque and smoker, owned a restaurant and smoked everything in the land! I was raised on wild game and can cook it all. I just love to prepare for others, it is the way I was raised to have hospitality by way of cookin.
My favorite things to cook
Mexican and Chinese dishes, stir fries, beautifully displayed dishes are my favorite. I love to make prime rib and no one does it better! Bread is something I can do well, I love to cater as I did in my own business several years and helped in the family restaurant.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Martha Washington Candy is my all time favorite sweet family tradition.
My all time meat dish from my family is my killer pot roast.
My mothers traditional white bread, and grandmas egg noodles and indian fry bread as well. All have meaning to me.
My cooking triumphs
My catering business where people would request my country favorites my name because they heard about them or had them at a gathering. I love to make people smile with my food.
My cooking tragedies
One of everything I have ever cooked. Likely what my ex husband used to refer to as "VOLCANO HEAT" Cooking. He used to have to be at work by 6:30,I got off at 5:00, I had to go buy the food, prepare the meat and get him to work by 6:30 (back in the poor days of buying food daily living on the tips) Yep Volcano heat can sure kill good groceries! :)
