Not our favorite. The chicken did get dried out and the flavor was not quite what I had thought it might be. Good, just not great.

The kids ranted about this, particularly its potential in turkey sandwiches later. I thought it was a bit salty, but still very good. Next time, I will simply use a little less onion soup mix. Very tasty and easy.

We are from an extensive Italian family with relatives in the cooking business. The matriarch of the family--an amazing cook!--is getting older, so we pitched in and volunteered (bravely) to make this recipe and take it up for Christmas Day luncheon for people who are used to the finest Italian home cooking. We are still hearing rants and raves and getting requests to make it again. We did make a change to the recipe and make one of the lasagnas cheeseless--and even that got rants. Takes a while to make; definitely worth every minute it takes!
