I really enjoying cooking. My mother was a very good cook. I remember holidays and parties she would cook like it was the last meal. Relatives, neighbors and friends would come over for feasts that would last hours. I also have two brothers who are professional cooks.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook hearty semi-gourmet. I know what flavors I like, and I modify a recipe I am preparing with the flavors I think will be good. I like to make chicken dishes, and things that are quick and full of flavor.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving. September through November is dedicated to this meal. I look for the recipes and flavors I want.

My cooking tragedies
Easter, 2003. I decided to smoke a ham. I went to butcher and got a raw ham. I put it on the smoker for like 6 hours and it was still raw. We ate dinner picking off the pieces that were done.
