Probably one of the unhealthiest things I have ever eaten, but it is good!

Sweet Corn Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
The best cornbread I've ever been able to make (but not the best I've ever eaten) -thanks for the recipe! I didn't have sour cream so I substituted yogurt, and doubled the sugar as several other people suggested.... it came out very moist and tasty.

Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
These came out great, the dogs love them. Really easy, too, I just mixed everything in the Kitchenaid and let it knead the dough. I did have to add a bit more flour (maybe 1/4 cup) before I could roll it out and cut it. I will be making these again.

Never Fail Biscuits

I left out the cream of tartar, added an extra 1/2 cup of milk, and made drop biscuits. They came out great! The recipe made 12 small biscuits... I will probably double it next time.

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

Tasty and easy. I just made them into drop biscuits instead of rolling and cutting them. I skipped the kneading part too. Thanks!

Yummy! I only changed one thing - I used macadamia nuts instead of walnuts. They came out great. Thanks!

Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
Wow. "The best thing ever," according to one of my guests. The cake is very moist and good, but the icing is truly amazing! I put the extra icing in the fridge... I'm eating it with a spoon. I will definitely be making this again. Small changes I made: added 1 extra tablespoon of cocoa powder to both the cake and the icing, and I added about 1/3 cup of chocolate chips to the cake (because, really, the more chocolate, the better.)

Yum! We usually have a lot of these eaten before they are even out of the mixing bowl.

The Best Meatballs You'll Ever Have

I cooked them in the oven like other reviewers suggested... 400 degrees for about 15 minutes... then simmered them in sauce for about ten minutes. They came out very good, I will be making these again.

Mom's Applesauce Pancakes

I didn't change a thing. These are really fluffy and tasty... a nice change of pace from regular pancake mix pancakes, and fairly quick and easy too. Thanks!

Mint Pesto Pasta

This was good, quite similar to regular pesto. I left the chopped tomatoes out of the food processor and just stirred them into the pesto before serving. I would make this again.

American-Style Red Beans and Rice

Easy and tasty. This would make a good quick lunch. I made a few small changes: used fresh herbs instead of dried and doubled their measurements, and used a 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds instead of the adobo seasoning.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2005
This came out great! Better than most "normal" chocolate cake... I can't imagine why some reviewers said it wasn't good. They must have done something wrong. The only changes I made were: replaced half of the oil with applesauce and used chocolate chips instead of walnuts. I will definately make this again.

Bran Flakes Muffins with Raisins

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2005
These came out good, but I changed/added several things: 1/2 whole wheat & 1/2 all-purpose flour, used oil instead of shortening, added more raisins, added chopped pecans, and added cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Also, it made 9 regular-sized muffins, not 12. Only cooked them for 20 minutes. Would make them again (with the changes...)

Very good! I used whole wheat flour instead of regular, and I spread it pretty thin in the pan. I ended up with 16 servings of yummy pizza crust!

Tandoori Chicken II

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2005
This was good. I do agree that it is more like curry chicken than tandoori chicken. I used 1 cup of plain yogurt instead of the water, and saved some of the marinade out to serve with the cooked chicken. I would make this again.

Kulfi

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2005
Very good, but much better with a few changes. I thought the original recipe came out too sweet, and the cool-whip gave it a strange, gummy texture. The second time I made it, I scalded (almost boiled) the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and 1 1/2 cups whipping cream with 1 teaspoon cardamom seeds (instead of ground cardamom). Then I blended 3/4 cups regular milk with the bread. I strained the scaled milks into the bread mixture to remove the cardamom seeds, and it in the fridge to cool off. Then I put it in the ice cream maker... it was delicious!
