Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Ummm..this was not good at all. I don't think it is a bad recipe, I just think I do not like chicken and dumplings. I could see why someone might like this but I just haven't got a taste for it.

This was okay. I really missed the ricotta cheese. If I make this again I will add it into the layers. My sause also turned out really thick...the kids ate it up~

Basic Brine for Smoking Meat

I used this for a 7-8 pound pork shoulder. Made 2 batches of the brine and added the meat rub to the solution. WOW!!! This turned out fantastic. I will deff be using this all the time now and cannot wait for Thanksgiving to use this on my turkey. Thank you so much :)

Best BBQ Rub in Texas

Thsi is way salty. We used it on some ribs and it was way way way to salty. I am a lover of salt, I salt EVERYTHING and this even made me pucker a little. Also this make a whole bunch. We didn't use it all and was saving the rest for later...after some adjustment of more sugar, pepper and some onion powder it is now edible.

Mom's Coleslaw

Truly a great coleslaw recipe. I did halve the dressing mixture then let it sit in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving. After it set it was the best! Even my daughter who hates coleslaw ate and enjoyed it!

North Carolina-Style Pulled Pork

WOWWZA!!! This is a great recipe. I paired it with Mom's cloleslaw from this site and OMG this was one tasty treat. The kids and hubby raved about it! Get a nice soft bun and layer pork, coleslaw then some homeade french fries and you have one woppin sandwich that everybody cant get enough of!

This was great! My kids and hubby loved it! I halved the red pepper because the kids wouldn't have liked that but next time when I make for just me and hubby I will add all of the red pepper. Great recipe thanks!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

OMG! This is a great recipe. I made it and all the neighbor kids that were over playing decided to stay and eat! I followed some of the other suggestions like mixing the gravy and the veggies/chicken together before adding to the crust. I didn't double the gravy but I still had plenty. I did not find it dry at all. I did add some garlic salt and still thought it could use a bit more salt. I will be making this over and over again!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

This is a really really good chili. I am not a big chili person but I ate my weight in this. Great flavor and texture, made as is. Husband thought it could of been a bit spicier in the bite but really enjoyed the heat it left afterward. Thanks!
