My boys & me!
About this Cook
I'm the Mom of 2 great boys (6 and 2). My Husband is an ex-Marine and I'm so proud of him! We live in a very small town where everybody knows everybody! Baking is my passion and I would love to do it for a living someday.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make anything with chocolate. Baking in Colorado is tricky, My boys love eskimo cookies and muddy buddies. Man, are those hard to do;) Cookies and brownies are my "specialty".
My favorite family cooking traditions
Breakfast every weekend! My Dad is the best at breakfast! When I was little my Mom taught me how to cook, now I call her all the time for tips. She can spruce up a meal like nobody's business!
My cooking triumphs
Pan au Chocolate (chocolate filled crossants)....YUM!!! It's simple, but time consuming. If you have ALL day with nothing to do then this is the perfect recipe. It was so much fun though! My mom and I have almond toffee down and is requested every Christmas. My sister Melissa and I make awesome oatmeal cream pies!
My cooking tragedies
Oh, there are so many!! I've burned more things than I care to think about. I've mis-read a lot of recipes too! Once I put a 1/2 tablespoon of cocoa powder instead of 1/2 cup, to brownies! I've had french bread dough go horribly bad, but I still don't know what went wrong! I could go on, but that's enough for me!!

Chocolate Frosting I
Really yummy! I put this frosting on the chocolate chip cookie dough + cupcakes = the best cupcakes ever recipe. I followed the advise of other reviewers and used real butter, 3 cups of powdered sugar and about 1/3 cup of extra baking cocoa. It had a rich chocolate flavor. This is my new frosting recipe:) THANKS
