So cute! Really easy and makes a big impact. I used some oreos that I curshed up for the dirt and dyed my icing green to look like grass. I wrote my friend's name on them and they all got a big kick out of it. Best Halloween dish for sure! ;)

Caraway Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
OMG, I looove this this cheese ball!!! I make cheese balls all the time for parties because they are easy and who doesn't like cheese! :) This is by far the best cheese ball recipe I have found. If your not familliar with caraway seeds, they are very flavorful and are similar to the flavor of rye bread. I used extra virgin olive oil & some cabernet I had instead of the sherry. I also added an extra TSP of caraway seeds inside of the ball and rolled it as I always do in a mixture of walnuts and fresh chopped parsley. I made mine for a halloween party so I also added a few drops of red dye which gave it a fancy port-wine look. This cheese ball got devoured at my party and received many compliments. Delicious! Thank you!!! :) ;)

Butternut Squash Soup

I Looove this soup!!! I made it for Thanksgiving last year and it was a favorite! I have made it several times since, and now it's my favorite! It's one of those soups that you just can't foul up, turns out beautifuly every time. Sometimes you don't have enough cream cheese, or cream... no problem with this recipe. I like to change up the flavor sometimes with curry powder, roasted garlic, or cilantro. Y-U-M!!!!!

West African Peanut Soup

sooo delicious! I didn't add as much peanut butter, I used basmati rice, and threw in some fresh cut green beans. A very good, comforting soup. Not as crazy as it sounds!!! :) :) ;)

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
Scrumptious!!! I make this recipie all the time. I don't understand canned salmon (the bone grosses me out) so I use fresh salmon, and just bake it first. I also usually use italian style bread crumbs instead of cracker crumbs. It always turns out great. Throw what ever herbs and spices you want in there... I like lemon pepper and Mrs. Dash. Wonderful!

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
Wonderful recipe! This is the best base for quiche I've found. I make this quiche all the time... I love it because it's quick and easy to add whatever ingredients you might have in your kitchen. I sometimes add pimentos, fresh mushrooms, green chlies, or artichoke hearts (my favorite!). And throw in whatever kind of cheese you might have lying around too. I usually cut the butter and the milk in half, and I skip the cheese on top part because I'm lazy. It ALWAYS turns out great. I made one last night and I accidently forgot about it in the oven for almost 20 minutes over the bake time... to my surprise it was a little brown on top, but still perfectly delicious! Highly recommended. :)

Old-Fashioned Honey Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
Excellent!!! I make this recipe all the time, everyone loves it. I was searching for a pecan pie recipe made with honey due to my diet restrictions. It's soooo easy and it always comes out super sweet and delicious. I think the honey actually brings out and compliments the flavor of the pecans. This is my new favorite pecan pie, and I'm a southern girl, so that says alot!!! :)
