Grandma's Eggless, Butterless, Milkless Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
Thank goodness I had a container of chocolate frosting. I melted it in the microwave, poked holes in the cake and poured it on. Otherwise, I would've threw the cake away. I thought it would be similar to a "wacky cake" but it wasn't. It took around 40 minutes to bake.

I used 1 tbsp. of Mrs. Butterworths pancake syrup instead of corn syrup and it was perfect for drizzling over Too Much Chocolate Cake.

Sweet! I used olive oil and red wine vinegar. I threw everything into the food processor and it came out perfect. Be sure to chill well.

My family loved this. I did use a whole onion, a heaping tablespoon of mined garlic and a little bit of red pepper.

I made the slow cooker taco soup recipe on this site and used this recipe for the taco seasoning. I used cayenne pepper powder instead of red pepper flakes and it was really good!

These cookies are really good, light and fluffy. I didn't have butterscotch chips so I substituted with 1 cup of crunchy peanut butter. I made 38 nice sized cookies using my ice cream scooper. My son loves them too.

Beefy Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I'm so glad I chose this recipe. I did have to make a few minor changes. I had to mix beef and chicken broth. I used 1-10 oz. can diced tomatoes and 1-10 oz. can original rotel. I added browned ground sirloin and some garlic. I didn't have potatoes so I threw in some frozen hash brown patties. My husband, who usually doesn't like leftovers, wanted this several days for his lunch. None went to waste. Thanks for sharing.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This was very good. I made it last year and everyone loved it. This year I used 2 tbs. bacon grease instead of butter and mixed the crumbled bacon along with extra cheddar cheese in with the beans. I used club crackers for topping. Everyone loved it both ways. I'll continue to add the bacon and extra cheese if I have them on hand. If I were making this for myself only, I would use less sour cream.

Delicious! If I hadn't made it myself, I wouldn't have known it wasn't made with pecans. I'm not crazy about walnuts, but I will definitely make this again.
