My favorite things to cook
I love to eat fish although I am not yet an expert preparing it.
As my job is rather time consuming, anything I cook must be quick and easy unless it is on the weekend. And, things I anything I cook should contain some sort of fuite or vegetables otherwise it just tastes boring.
My favorite family cooking traditions
As I am German, I love all sorts of cabbages :D (especially red cabbage) as well as dumplings (my favorite are potato dumplings) and a juicy roast. I was taught to prepare these traditional meals by my grandmother. She used to work as a housekeeper and cook before she met my grandpa. She knows everything about the traditional German "cuisine".
My mother is a nutritionist. She teaches cooking classes at an elementary school and offers cookery courses for adults. She taught me how to cook healthy modern things.
My cooking triumphs
Together with my boyfriend, I arranged thanksgiving dinners for my family and friends. Almost all the recepes came from allrecipes.com. The food tasted awesome and it was great to know that we made everything ourselves.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I wanted to make a vegetable stock, I produced charcoal and destroyed a very expansive pot my mother had just bought. It was a disaster and ever since I have only bought veggie stock in the supermarket although it is rather expansive...
