I come from a family with a long food-linked tradition, right up to my great grandmother's deli in Copenhagen. I like coking just about anything, but my real favorite is banana bread - everyone loves it, and makes the house smell so nice! Just about any kind of dinner or desert, anything where lots of people come together to enjoy good food. That has to be my grandfather's traditional Danish Christmas dinner -roast goose, roast duck, caramelized potatoes, homemade red cabbage, and heavenly rice and almond pudding for desert. I made Thanksgiving dinner for 12 people one year, and everything turned out wonderfully, especially the pumpkin pie. I left a pan of melting butter on the stove, completely forgot about it, and set off the fire alarm at my grandfather's restaurant. Was I ever embarrassed when the fire department showed up!
