Yum!!! I didn't have any pumpkin so I used butternut squash. This was a great recipe to use up my yucky bananas. Neither the banana nor the butternut squash were too overpowering. I saw that many of the reviews said it was really mushy so I replaced the honey with sugar and I made muffins instead of bread. The mini muffins took about 15 minutes and the regular muffins took about 22 minutes. I iced the muffins with powdered sugar and milk glaze and I added about a half a bag of mini chocolate chips. This might just be a new autumn tradition.

Chicken and Lentils with Rosemary

The chicken was very good and the kids even at it-amazing! But there was way too many lentils for 4 servings. Next time I will cut the lentils in half. But very yummy! Also, I think it would be good with smaller pieces of chicken, like drumsticks and wings, or maybe just chunks of chicken.

All-Bran® Fruit Bars

They are good, not great! I made them with dates and craisins and added 1/4 cup of flax seed. Very sweet and you don't feel too guilty enjoying them.

Cream of Coconut Cake

I am sure it is a good recipe, but I changed some things after reading some of the reviews. What I made was great but didn't really follow the recipe. I made the cake like the recipe said but also added coconut extract to the batter. When the cake came out of the oven I poured coconut syrup on it. Also I added coconut extract to the frosting. So if you want more coconut flavor, that is what I did and it tastes like I am back in Hawaii. I hope that helps.

Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Good, I didn't have regular cream cheese, so I used Veggie cream cheese, and I used parmesan cheese and mozzerela instead of romano. Still yummy!!! My Husband Loved it!!

Hot Chocolate Mix II

I was really excited about this recipe, but when I made it just tasted like sweet milk, not very chocolaty. I even added the chocolate pudding like suggested. I was very disappointed. I am better off just buying it from the store. I only recommend if you don't like your hot chocolate to taste like chocolate.

Grandma VanDoren's White Bread

Yummy bread and so easy in a mixer. I like to put the loaves in disposable bread pans and throw them in the freezer before they rise. Then I can have home baked bread any day I want. Just leave the frozen dough out on the counter in the morning to rise all day and bake it in the evening. This Bread tastes good with everything, but be careful, it goes quick!

Orange Chicken Stir Fry

Wow!!!This was surprisingly good. I am making this again. I think it needs just a bit more Orange juice but still it is worth making. Really yummy with cashews or peanuts added. Thanks!!!!

High Flavor Bran Bread

Yummy Bread, with lots of flavor. I highly recommend it! I made it in the bread machine and then baked it in the oven. Next time I will make two loaves instead of one. It is very dense, but good.
