Marinara Sauce I

I thought that the wine was too overpowering. On a whole it was good. I now just cut the amount of wine in half.

Lots of potential. Ratio of carmel to cheesecake is not quite right. Double the cheesecake filling and save 1/3 of the carmel to dribble on top later if disired. My family liked it best without adding any chocolate and we like rich deserts. Added more butter to crust as some reviewers suggested and will not do it again. I did put the crust higher up on the pan to prevent the caramel from overcooking on the edge. I would recommend toasting the pecans. I had no problem cooking it according to the directs without a water bath.

Leslie's Strawberry Breakfast Chops

This recipe is all about the sauce. It is delicious. I will prepare the pork chops diffenently next time as other reviewers have sugested. Fried chops are always too tough for my taste. Next time I will either cook the pork chops in the sauce or slow cook chops in the oven and then add before serving. It would also taste great as a sauce for stir-fry. Not too hot, even for my two year old.

Cheesecake Topped Brownies

Wonderful! Did not put the frosting on but served with ice cream and carmel sauce instead. My husband called it the perfect desert. (Cheesecake, brownies, ice cream; the best of all worlds)

Salsa II

Not the flavor I was hoping for. Needed something more, salt or garlic? The jalapeno pepper flavor was a little overpowering. Texture was good and recipe was easy.

Brunch Enchiladas

i gave this 4 stars only because I made one change in the recipe. otherwise I would have given it 2 stars. The only thing I changed was jimmy dean sausage for the ham. My husband and I did NOT like this very much. It was extremely bland and in need of a lot of additional toppings, such as sour cream, salsa, etc.

Yummy Quiche

Very good!!! I don't usually like quiche but I did love this recipe. Very easy and fool proof. I used whole milk instead of half and half and it tasted great (cooked it for 55 mins). In the future I may saute the onions so they are soft.

Vanilla Ice Cream IV

I love ice cream and did not love this. Neither did my husband. It tasted VERY artifical, even after adding a lot of candy and toppings. Tasted similar to the off-brand vanilla you can buy at the store with a slight pudding flavor. The recipe was also unclear as to how much milk to add concidering every ice cream maker has a different fill line depending on it's size. I just added the four cups which brought it shy of the fill line in my 6 quart machine. The texture was good after hard freezing it over night. If you could just substitute the pudding for something it would be much better.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Without the raspberries this cake would be very bland. The "molten" chocolate was not very rich. I was hoping for something similar to what you would find at the resturaunts. It was easy to make and the muffin tin worked good.

Italian Dressing Mix

This was great!! Easy and good. I will double or tripple it next time so I have extra on hand. We like it best on pasta salad. The salt amount is good but needs to be dissolved before use (can heat in microwave for a few secs. then let cool).

Elephant Ears

This was not quite like what you get at the fair. All morning I played around with the recipe after semi-success on the first batch. For the best batch I did the following differently. I added about 3 Tbsp. of water to the dough to keep it from being tough. The oil was extremely too hot and so I lowered it to about 275 and cooked it for a little less than a minute per side(this was with the dough rolled to about 1/8 in thick). After frying it I brushed it with melted butter which enhanced the bread's flavor and helped the sugar to stick. I also doubled the amount of sugar used for the toping.

Blackened Chicken

Wonderful!! I followed the recipe exactly except for making the chicken thinner and heating the oil for only 5 mins. (as suggested by other reviews) I am not a fan of hot stuff but my husband prefers to have his taste buds burnt off. This was a perfect compromise. Tastes great on top of many kinds of pasta dishes.

Hot Spiced Cranberry Cider

This was just ok. It was a little too tart, even for my husband who is cranberry crazy. I would recommend using an orage instead of a lemon to cut down on the tartness. I did not do this but added more brown sugar. This helped some but made it a little too sweet.
