Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
This worked great and was very easy! I added the oil and vanilla and flattened them a bit as suggested by other reviewers. I didn't have a cake mix but had a chocolate chip muffin mix so used that without adding extra chocolate chips and baked for 10 minutes. Made 28 small cookies.

Four Cheese Macaroni Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
This recipe is a keeper for sure! It is so easy to customize to your tastes. I added an extra cup each of cheddar and mozarella, put the tomato mix on top like another reviewer suggested and also added half a jar of traditional spaghetti sauce as it looked like it would be too dry. It turned out AWESOME! It did take more like 40 minutes of bake time.

Peppermint Brittle

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
So easy a kid could do it and it looks fancy in gift baskets! Also is cheap to make! I layered white and milk chocolate like others suggested and then swirled the top a bit. If the pieces are too big they hurt your teeth so make sure to crush them good. I use the fine powder that's left over to sprinkle over the top for a sparkly finish!

Crunchy Peanut Butter Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
I have made sooo many batches of these since finding this recipe! LOL They were an awesome addition to my Christmas goody baskets and I had to get them out of the house ASAP or they were gone LOL! These taste just like buckeye candy with a little crispiness from the rice crispies and are sooooo much less work!! Make them bite size and they won't melt all over your fingers. :)

Chocolate Billionaires

LOVED THESE! I made them for friends and family for Christmas and they were a hit! It's all about the carmel in these. I couldn't find the wrapped carmels the second time so used those little carmel balls but the package was a couple ounces less than the wrapped once and it made a huge difference. You gotta use enough carmel or they aren't nearly as good. And make sure it's fresh. I found an out of date bag of wrapped carmels at a discount store (was desperate! LOL) and the candy turned hard as a rock.

Yummiest Green Beans Ever

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
Thank you so much for this recipe! I needed something creative to make and based on your recipe I made a great main dish with what I had. I used a canned ham, bag of frozen green beans, the red wine vinegar, regular yellow mustard and lots of pepper. Did not add any salt since the canned ham is super salty. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Sausage Gravy III

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
Yum! This was my first time ever making biscuits and gravy and this recipe was super easy! It took about 10 minutes of stirring for it to get thick enough and people aren't kidding when they say to use a lot of salt and pepper! I thought I added a lot but it wasn't enough. I used fresh ground sausage from the local butcher this time and I'm going to try a spicier one next time for more flavor.

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
USE REAL BACON BITS! :) I made one with the pecans and one with real bacon bits and the bacon one was way better and was gone much faster. I also suggest NOT using the Chicken in a Biscuit crackers that others suggested. After I read the reviews I got them and they were way too salty with this already salty cheese ball. Luckily I got those big round wheat crackers too and it was great with those. Will make again and again!

Pecan Pie IV

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Had to bake an extra 20 minutes and the knife still didn't come out clean. We still ate it though and the taste was great. Make sure you use a very sharp knife to cut it as the pecans will mush down into the pie if you don't.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

This was wonderful! I used pumpkin pie spice instead of the separate spices but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. It made a very thick and creamy pie. Yum!

Candy Crunch Pudding Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This looked AWESOME and was VERY RICH. I had a lot of filling left over so next time I will cut the cool whip that's mixed in to 1/4 of a tub instead of half. I got an Oreo brand Oreo crust and it wasn't very good. Will use a regular graham cracker one next time I think. Also will cut the melted chocolate on top to 1/2 an ounce as it was too thick and mushed into the pie when we cut it. Still an awesome pie and will definitely make it again! Everyone was impressed! :)

Ham Breakfast Braid

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2005
This was really easy and good. My husband and toddler really liked it. :) I would add some onion or peppers..maybe a little tomato next time..sausage would be really good too I bet. The only other thing I would change is the baking time. I did it for 25 minutes and it was very close to being burnt. I will bake for the time it says on the crescent roll package next time. Thanks for the recipe! Makes enough for a crowd! Will make it again. :)

I increased the cinnamon sugar coating a bit and I used 3 cups of cake flour instead of the all-purpose. I also doubled the vanilla. These melt in your mouth! YUMMM!!!
