About this Cook
Husband of one wife, father of two boys, and we all like to eat
My favorite things to cook
I love to grill various types of meat and veggies (using both gas and charcoal). I also like trying to make various Indian dishes and I also like to do the Thanksgiving meal for my family each year.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm usually on the menu to grill every Saturday evening for our family. Plus we like to do grilled pork chops for New Year's, steaks for Valentine's, smoked ham for Easter, pulled pork for memorial day, burgers for July 4, grilled chicken for labor day, turkey for Thanksgiving. Grilled salmon is also my "go to" recipe - tastes great, easy to make, and healthy.
My cooking triumphs
I made a pot of Chicken Tikka Masala that my wife really liked and begged me to make extra spicy for her when she was pregnant with our second child.
My cooking tragedies
I've overcooked more not-inexpensive cuts of meat on my grill than I'd care to admit.

Cheesy Baked Potatoes
Recommended...tried these to go with the steaks I cooked for the Valentine's Day dinner I made for my wife. I added some Parmesan cheese to the mix to give some extra flavor. Also added a couple of dashes of Tony Chachere's seasoning for extra kick. Overall we both enjoyed this recipe; will make again.

Broccoli Casserole
My family really liked this recipe; very creamy and buttery flavor. I recommend decreasing the amount of garlic salt and seasoned salt to 1/4 tsp (instead of 1/2 tsp) since it was a bit salty for our taste. Also cooking time was closer to 50-55 minutes. Overall we really liked this and plan on making it as a Thanksgiving side.

Rubbed and Grilled Pork Loin
I used this recipe the first time I attempted grilling a pork loin roast on my gas grill. It definitely was a success; I allowed the rub to marinate on the meat approx 30-45 minutes prior to grilling. I also trimmed the "silverskin" off the roast prior to applying the rub (I like mine very lean). Total grilling time for me was approx 30-35 minutes on a 3-burner gas grill with middle burner turned off. Very easy recipe with good result.
