About this Cook
I am about 22 years old, I live with my boyfriend of 4 years and make him try everything new first. I work as a Pharmacy Technician and don't cook as often as I'd like to, so I try to make up for it when I do.
My favorite things to cook
I love all things baked. I love to make desserts and I'm really interested in trying all sorts of different world cuisines. I also have a soft spot for basically anything wrapped in crescent roll dough.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made dinner for my family was for Mother's Day, and I made cream of broccoli soup and Lemon/Honey/Rosemary Roast Chicken. They both turned out really well. Just recently for my boyfriend's birthday, I made his family dinner: Spinach Puffs, Salad, Shrimp Scampi, Sauteed Squash, Garlic Asparagus, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Also, when I decided to make chocolate lava cakes totally on the fly and everyone wanted seconds.
My cooking tragedies
Well, the first time I tried a recipe that I have now come to love, broiled chicken drumsticks, I failed to adequately coat the chicken in oil, resulting in burnt stuck on chicken mess onto my (thankfully) foil lined cookie sheet.

Chutney Chicken
Fantastic recipe! The thing that I love most about it is how versatile it is; I didn't have onion soup mix, so I ad libbed using onion salt and Mrs. Dash. You could use basically any chutney, relish, jelly, etc. that you have and spice it up however you want. I'm imagining you could also do this same thing with mint jelly and a nice cut of lamb, pear preserves and pork. I basically followed the recipe besides my substitution, and also put sliced onion under the chicken, which was yummy. Great recipe, will definitely be putting it in rotation.
