Weeknight Pork Chops

I also followed others suggestions and used the sauce as a glaze. It was YUM! A definite keeper. I had blade shoulder steaks that were sliced thin. My husband also loved this recipe.

Cara's Moroccan Stew

This is really delicious. I made a couple changes. First I do not like lentils so I used barley instead. YUM. Also I added about 1/2 cup of golden raisins. SOOOOOO GOOD!

Bloody Mary Short Ribs

Really good. I added garlic and I didn't have Bloody Mary Mix so I made my own using V8 Juice and celery salt, whorchestershire sauce and tobasco to taste. I also forgot to add the can of tomatoes so it was thick but we ate it up served over rice.

Apple Turkey Potpie

This was very good but I did make some changes. I did not use condensed soup. Instead after I sautéed onion, chopped celery and sliced mushrooms, I added 2 TB butter. After it melted, 2 TB flour next. When it was blended, I added 2 1/2 cups turkey broth. (I had just cooked my turkey carcass and so had lots of broth but chicken would be great too.) After it was slightly thickened I added the remaining ingredients (crasins instead of raisins) and followed the recipe. My husband REALLY liked this.

Easy Apple Rhubarb Jam

This was truly good. I tweaked this a bit as I used 4 cups rhubarb and 2 cups apples and it was lovely. yum. It made about 6 cups so only about 4 jars of jam.

English Saffron Bread

This bread was beautiful and yummy. Had to add 2 cups more flour. Don't know if I measured wrong or what but it turned out wonderful. Took the suggestion of making two loaves instead of one large one. I will make this again!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Really good. I toasted the quinoa first in a dry pan 'til light brown and fragrant. Then you rinse and drain it before adding to this recipe.

Veneto Chicken

This was very good. I did not seed or peel the tomatoes and I added about 2 tablespoons of sun dried tomatoes in with the mushrooms and served it over brown rice. YUM YUM. Will definitely make this again soon.

Cookie Pops on a Stick!!

I made these for my Kindergarten class. The cookies are a bit sweet but kids loved them. Also, I wrote a Valentine message on the popscicle stick with permanent marker before pressing the stick into the dough. Looked great!
