Vegan Chili

Great quick lunch on a Fall day! My additions were: doubling the chili powder and adding in 2 cans of rinsed black beans & 1 can of diced tomatoes. I really liked the flavor of the liquid smoke in this! Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
This was my first attempt at making waffles and I must admit that I was very happy with the outcome! I made two batches and doubled the vanilla in each (I will probably add a little more sugar next time). I made half with chocolate chips and the other half with cinnamon & pecan pieces. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Slow Cooker Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
I made some changes due to what I had on hand. I used frozen peas b/c I was out of mixed veggies. My chicken was precooked so I added a can of broth and also a can of cheddar cheese soup to offset the cream of chicken flavor. This addition did not make it a cheese sauce at all, just masked the canned flavor, oddly enough. I did toss in some Old Bay, poultry seasoning and herbes de provence. When it was done I added some water to thin it some and set it to warm while my french bread was in the oven. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I added a cup of toasted pecans and left out the cinnamon. I knew they would be good when I could not stay out of the dough! Mine were really flat, but I will take the blame for that because I did not have the time to chill them first. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Northwest Steakhouse Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
Really good! I softened the butter (rather than melting) and mixed in the rest so I could rub it into the steaks. I let them set at room temp for about 20-30 minutes before cooking them in a grill pan. I did use montreal steak seasoning in place of the greek seasoning (I was out), but will try it the way it is posted soon. I used this on thin cut six New York strips to make sandwiches. Simple and delicious. Thanks for sharing the recipe!!

Linguine Pasta with Shrimp and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
If only I could give extra stars for being so easy and so tasty! For the tomatoes I used 2 cans of petite diced and one can of crushed with a tsp. of sugar (I also added in a tsp. of the cajun seasoning to the sauce). Following the advice of the recipe submitter, I added basil and also added the cup of cream that she suggests. I served this with a good coating of fresh parmesan on top. DELISH! Thanks for sharing a fabulous recipe, Cindy!!

The Best Unbaked Cherry Cheesecake Ever

YUM! I double this and place it in an oblong glass dish. I have made this many many times and always use a small tub of cool whip (for double the recipe) in place of the whipping cream. This is hard to beat for being quick, easy and super good!

Lighter Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
After reading the reviews, I added 4 oz. applesauce, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. cinnamon and tossed in 1/2 cup pecan pieces. This made 16 sm/med sized muffins that baked in 19 minutes. These were very moist (not dry at all) and delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Sloppy Joes II

Great sloppy joes with just the right amount of sweetness. My only addition was a small amount of allspice added in with the ketchup mixture. I let this simmer less than 10 minutes and it was perfect. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
I used a 4# pork loin roast rather than a tenderloin. I let this cook for about 8 hours on low and then shredded the pork and served on deli sub rolls with the au jus along side for dipping. I will probably add some rosemary or herbes de province next time, but this was very good as the recipe states. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Zucchini Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
OH MY GOSH!!! This was soooooo good! It actually did taste just like an apple cobbler. NOBODY could believe it. I adjusted the sugar and cinnamon to taste (adding a little more than called for) and used the juice of two fresh lemons. Next time (and OH YES there WILL be a next time), I am going to double the filling so it stands out more and does not get lost in all of the yummy crust and topping. Excellent recipe! Thanks for sharing!!! UPDATE: I made this again and doubled the filling and it was perfect! Just give the filling a taste test to adjust the sweetness to your liking before adding to the crust. RAVE REVIEWS!!!

With a title like that how could I not give them a try! These are some pretty darn good cookies and just might be my new favorite. I followed the recipe as stated, but did use dark brown sugar since I was out of light brown. Baking temp and time was perfect and so were the cookies. Thanks for sharing your recipe, Felix!

Frosted Cinnamon Zucchini Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
I baked these in my 11x17 calphalon pan for exactly 20 minutes and they were moist & perfect. I left out the coconut, but added 1 tsp. of cinnamon to the batter. I added more milk and powdered sugar to make more frosting, since I used a larger pan and needed more frosting for coverage. I sprinkled some extra pecans over the frosting. Very good recipe. Thanks for sharing!
